UYO COUNCIL BOSS SEEKS STAKEHOLDERS’ SUPPORT IN DEVELOPMENT OF THE AREA

…Plays host to Environment Commissioner, Sir Charles Udoh

The Executive Chairman of Uyo Local Government Area, Dr. Uwemedimo Udo has called on all illustrious sons and daughters of Uyo extraction to support his administration’s effort in the development of the local government.

Dr. Udo made the call when he played host to the Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Environment, Sir. Charles Udoh in his office on Tuesday, January 19, 2021.

The council chairman while discussing with the Environment Commissioner, reiterated his commitment to ensure that all unfinished projects are completed and new ones initiated for the good of Uyo people.

One of such projects which the Executive Chairman led Sir Udoh to see the level of work done, was the administrative block of the council which was initiated by the immediate past administration.

Dr. Udo noted that his administration is poised to leave legacies at the expiration of his service year to the people of Uyo.

In his response, Sir Charles Udoh commended the Executive Chairman for ensuring practical continuity in governance and pledged to support the council towards the completion of the project and other ones that may require partnership.

The administrative building when completed, will ease the accommodation problem of the local government staff and ameliorate their present discomfort to enhance service delivery.

Highpoint of the visit was the presentation of the official calendar of Uyo Local Government for the year 2021 to the Honourable Commissioner.

The Vice Chairman of council, Pst. Sylvia Ekong and the Secretary of Uyo local government council, Ubong Udofia were on ground to receive the Environment Commissioner.
