Barely 24 hours after announcing five new appointments, the Executive Chairman of Uyo Local Government Area, Elder Imoh Okon has again approved the appointment of Mr. Emediong Oliver as his Personal Assistant on Physically Challenged People Affairs.
Emediong Oliver hails from Mbiabong Etoi and has sight defect. He studied Agriculture in the Akwa Ibom State College of Education, Afaha Nsit.
Meanwhile, the Chairman had earlier approved the appointment of Hon. Churchill Amos as Chief of Staff and Mr. Ubong Udofia as Special Assistant on General Duty.

While congratulating the appointees, the Chairman urged the appointees to see the appointment as an opportunity to serve and hence give in their best, adding that the appointment is with immediate effect.
Responding on behalf of the appointees, the Special Assistant on General Duties, Mr. Ubong Udofia thanked the Chairman for finding them fit to work with him. He assured the Chairman of their best services, saying that the team is capable of working without supervision.
In their separate remarks, the Head of Local Government Service, Mrs. Ime Jaja and the Leader of the Legislative Council, Hon. Nathaniel Sabestian congratulated the new appointees and advised them to work diligently and protect both the image of the Chairman and the Local Government.
