…as National President harps on evangelism through Media
Ahead of the 17th Area Convention of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Ikot Ntuen Oku, not less than 10 members of TACN-INO-MEDIA have been sponsored by the wife of the Executive Chairman of Uyo Local Government Council, Deaconess Idaresit Imoh Okon on a Professional Media Training to improve the working standard of the media team.
TACN-INO-MEDIA is the media arm of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Ikot Ntuen Oku Major Center in Uyo Field, Akwa Ibom State Territory.
The Chairman’s wife gesture came on the heel of the centenary celebration of The Apostolic Church.
Announcing the sponsorship yesterday, the Chairman’s wife who said the gesture is part of her empowerment program to the people of Uyo Local Government including non-indigenes urged members of the church media team to take advantage of the training programme to sharpen their knowledge on media practice, adding that the church will record more success in evangelism if the media arm is standardized.
Reacting to the gesture, the church’s Media Supervisor, Elder Nsidibe Akpan thanked the Chairman’s wife for carrying The Apostolic Church along in her empowerment programme, saying that it is a confirmation of the First Lady’s good deeds which the church have been hearing since the beginning of her reign as the First Lady of Uyo Local Government Area.
He stated that the gesture will further improve the church Media Team which he said has recorded tremendous impact in the church both spiritually and materially, even as he prayed God to bless her.
In his part, the Area Superintendent in charge of Ikot Ntuen Oku Major Center, Apostle Prince Etim expressed delight for the training of the Media Team members sponsored by Idaresit Imoh Okon, describing it as a life time empowerment for the benefiaries.
According to him, the professional training will not only enhance the working standard of the TACN-INO-MEDIA, but will also boost employment opportunities for the benefiaries.
Apostle Etim while praying God’s blessing and reward for the Chairman’s wife said she has put food on the table of at least 50 people through the training programme as not less than 10 families will benefit from the gesture and also called on others to emulate the Chairman’s wife so as to make life easy for the people of the state.
The media training tagged Akwa Ibom Media Masterclass is organized by Deboss Consult in affiliation with BestFriend Film Academy starting from today, Monday 16 July, 2018.
Meanwhile, the National President of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Apostle Sampson Igwe has urged the leadership of the church across the country to pay serious attention to the media and also engage it in church evangelism.
The National President stated this in his goodwill message to all members of the church as the church rounded up its 100 years anniversary yesterday.
The National President emphasized that the present technological age has offered more opportunity for the church to widen its reach and fish more souls to Christ and therefore called on the church leaders to seriously engage the media space in propagating the gospel of Christ.
While congratulating the church for attaining centenary age, Apostle Igwe said so far the church which started in Penygro in 1918 has spread to over 20 countries, noting that with more evangelism and through the robust engagement of the media, The Apostolic Church will get to the nooks and crannies of the world if Christ tarries.
