A Non governmental organisation, Nation Builders Assembly has opened a citadel of learning in Akwa Ibom State, Nation Builders and Leadership Institute.
The president and founder of NBA Elder Goodluck Joseph Edet, disclosed this to journalists in his office, 7 Obio Imo street Uyo. He said, his vision to transformed the group to an institution of learning has been actualized through his consistent efforts and support from well meaning Akwa Ibom sons and daughters.
He revealed that Nation Builders Assembly was founded in 2014 to support government actualized their good intentions to the masses across all political line.
Edet, an indigene of Okobo local government Area told reporters that the vision of Nation Builders Assembly was also aimed at Building a united Akwa Ibom through effective leadership structure for the upcoming youths to be trained and inculcate leadership qualities amongst themselves. He applauded Governor Udom Emmanuel for setting the foundation for a formidable leadership structure in the state and his developmental strides within five years in office.
Edet equally thanked Special Assistant to the Governor on Sustainable Development Mr. Elijah Iyake for supporting his dream to established Nation Builder and Leadership institute, stressing that his mentorship, fatherly roles has been the force behind the school actualization. According to him, the school will provides an alternative learning environment to develop leadership capacity for Nation Building and to give youth opportunity of a sound and qualitative education.
“We are using the following methods to accomplish our mission.
We do not affiliate but we partner with top notch global institutions, and offer a flexible admission policy and learning for timely graduation while giving a more affordable and flexible fee regime and leveraging global resources to provide access to qualitative education for all classes of people.” Furthermore he noted that the institution has obtained approval from all regulating body to run various program.
Given Insight to the admission requirements Edet, explained that candidate must possess minimum of five credit on SSCE including Mathematics and English Language, Jamb result of not less than an aggregate of 100 point, to be able to secure admission in the institution.
The Okobo born academia also maintained that, Nation Builders and leadership Institute offers admission into the following programmes (Full and part times) ND, HND, B.sc, conversion and Certificate courses.
The following course are offered in National Diploma:
Business Administration, Accountancy, public Administration, Science Lab Tech, Computer Science, Electrical Electronic Engineer, Office Technology and management, Urban and Regional planning, Computer Engineering and Estate management, while programmes for HND are: Business Administration, Accountancy, Public administration, Mass Communication, Science Lab Tech, Computer Science, Electrical Electronic Engineer, Office Technology and management, Hospitality Management, Urban and Regional planning, Computer engineering and Estate management.
In the degree category programmes offered under Faculty of management and social Science include:
Economics, Accounting, Business Administration and Marketing, International relations, political Science, peace studies and Conflict Resolution, public Admin, Sociology and Mass Communication. Other includes,
Christian Religious Studies, English and Literally Studies, Natural and Applied Sciences,
Computer Science,
Microbiology, Biochemistry etc.
