… condemn verbal attacked, describes Hon. Bassey as best product for USD race
A socio political group “Uruan Delight Group” founded 2017, to articulate and defend the fundamental and democratic rights of Uruan People has condemned in strong teams the recent verbal attacked on the personality of Rt. Hon. Aniekan Bassey, Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly by Ibiono Ibom Delegates during his Consultative visit to the area on Wednesday 11 March, 2022.
In a release made available to newsmen, by the National President of the group Comr. Unyime Jonah said the group would have been silent, but to put the record straight,need to explain to Ibiono Ibom delegates,that Speaker Aniekan Bassey has equal right to support any gubernatorial candidate of his choice and also campaign like any other candidate, as he remain unbeatable candidate ahead of the Uyo Senatorial District race having seen his legislative credentials.
The release read ” Our attention has been drawn to the above spurious, infantile statement by Ibiono Ibom delegates on our son. Rt. Hon. Aniekan Bassey during his Consultative visit recently which has been aggressively circulated in the social media space. We want all and sundry to note that Rt. Hon. Aniekan Bassey is a man largely cerebrated as a polished gentleman, God fearing Christian, achieved lawmaker and successful son of Uruan who fortunately for Akwa Ibom, is the number 3 citizen in the state and the front line contender for the Uyo Senatorial District race come 2023.”
We make bold to say that our principal who has a grounded Christian background, having been born into a well structured Christian home and bred by parents whose total belief in God and dependence on His sovereignty and supremacy is unflinching and has remained unshakable has equal right to campaign in all part of the senatorial district without fear of whatsoever.
The group on this group, urged, Akwa Ibom people to rally round Aniekan Bassey’s senatorial ambition as his victory means development to all.
“Fellow Akwa Ibom people, With Hon. Aniekan Bassey’s vast humanitarian outreach, educational support scheme, legislative exposure and willingness to serve and his accommodating nature, no hurdle with him as your senator from 2023 shall be insurmountable, as his victory will bring about total development to Akwa Ibom North-East senatorial district and Akwa Ibom people at large.”
