
Member Representing Etinan/Nsit Ibom/Nsit Ubium Federal Constituency, House of Representatives, Obong Paul Ekpo has reiterated commitment to effective representation which will be the focus of his Legislative leadership rather than just celebrating One Hundred Days in Office.
Obong Paul Ekpo who committed to fulfilling his campaign promises to the Constituents said, “modalities for developmental scheme and equipping the Constituency Office with adequate ICT facilities which will better the lives of members of the Constituency is currently being structured and will be unveiled soonest following its completion”.

The Federal House Member said this when he led the Political Leader of Uyo Senatorial District, Sen. Effiong Bob and other prominent Constituents today, to the commissioning of “Onofiok Akpan Luke House” located in Etinan Local Government Area, Headquarters of the Federal Constituency.

“I am not celebrating 100 days in office but effective representation orchestrated by my Predecessor Onofiok Luke. Of course, no new fund has been appropriated for our sailing but we have been able to operate through the benevolence and foundation led by my Predecessor.

“Let me register my appreciation by naming this Constituency Office, ‘Onofiok Akpan Luke House’ for his worthy act of erecting this edifice and donating same which will serve as a point of connection and information gathering, raising motions for onward transmission at the floor of the Chamber and even for petition to be tendered for onward legislation; this facility will be completely furnished with adequate facilities to aid its efficiency”.
Commissioning the Office, the Political Leader of Uyo Senatorial District, Sen. Effiong Bob who appreciated the immediate past Representative, Barr Onofiok Luke for putting up the edifice and the successor, Obong Paul Ekpo for keying into and sustaining the development and peace of the Constituency, urged Constituents to be patient and tolerant with Governor Umo Eno to enable him deliver on the mandate through the ARISE Agenda policy.

Gracing the event, the immediate past House of Representative Member, Barr Onofiok Luke appreciated Ekpo for setting the precedence of leadership, emphasizing that it is imperative to support and learn from leaders, added that the vision for erecting the building which land was given free of charge by Etinan Council Chairman, Surv. Cletus Ekpo, was to expand the facility by adding a skill acquisition centre which shall be captured in the 2024 budget.
He however appealed to the Constituents to be patient towards elected representatives, have low expectations of what to be given to them monetarily but high expectation of effective representation while appreciating the Party, Leaders of the Constituency and Constituents for their immense supports which led to his superlative performance in office whilst presenting documents on his legislative successes.

In their individual goodwill messages, the former Representative of the Federal Constituency, Barr Sam Ikon and the Political Leader of Nsit Ibom Local Government Area, Gen. Paul Isang affirmed an all round support to the success of Obong Paul Ekpo while Surv. Cletus Ekpo in his vote of thanks acknowledged the vital roles played by Leaders of the Constituency which had culminated in her accelerated growth and togetherness.
