Management and Staff of the Ministry of Special Duties and Ibom Deep Seaport today celebrated their Commissioner, Engr. Bassey Okon, Ph.D on his conferment with the prestigious award of ” Fellow of Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers”
The Event took place at the Ministry on Friday, 21st October, 2022 and was chaired by the Permanent Secretary, Engr. Udosen Ephraim.
Setting the tone for the meeting, the Permanent Secretary said ” we came as your team to officially welcome you back from Lagos, where you have recently been elevated to the apex of the Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers”
He appreciated God for honouring the commissioner in his time in the Ministry.
Engr. Ephraim said staff were pleased with the Commissioner’s styles of leadership ” we acknowledged that you carry everyone along with no segregation” he stated.
He also promised that staff will continue to work hard for the success of the commissioner’s administration.
In his goodwill message, the Director of Administration on behalf of other management staff thanked God for safe travels and congratulated the Hon. Commissioner for what he described as a meritable award as Fellow.
“Your glory has only begone and shall not cease” he said.
He assured the Commissioner of the unwavering support and cooperation of staff to make sure the Ministry achieves overwhelming success.
In his response, the MSDIDSP Boss, Engr. Bassey Okon,Ph.D, dedicated his award to God and the Ministry.
He said it was a thing of joy for his staff to celebrate with him noting that within six months of working with the staff he has recorded a great number of good successes with testimonies.
The commissioner informed staff of the ministry that the Governor was pleased with them urging them to keep the flag flying.
He assured the staff of his full support for continuous professional development and promised to give staff special packages during the Christmas celebration
