The Medical and Health CDS (MHCDS) Group, Uyo today, Wednesday, August 16, 2023, visited Primary Health Center, Ikot Okubo Offot, Uyo L.G.A to conduct a sensitisation campaign focused on Maternal and Child Health, exemplifying their commitment to giving back to the community.
The group which comprises dedicated Corps members in the medical field was led to the health facility by its President, Dr. Chioma Vivian Ibekwe.
Under the theme “The Mother and Her Child are Our Priority, Let’s Support Them,” the Corps members effectively raised awareness about the critical practice of Exclusive Breastfeeding for both mother and baby.
Moreover, they took the opportunity to educate mothers about the significance of child immunisation and provided essential insights into ideal antenatal care.
The zenith of the MHCDS Group’s campaign was marked by their thoughtful distribution of sanitary items aimed at supporting both mothers and children.
This endeavor underscored their dedication to improving Maternal and Child Health in the community.
