…says MDFO is a fast growing socio -political organization
The International president of a fast growing socio-political organization in Akwa Ibom State, Amb. Chris Akpan has said that the organization under his watch for one year has been fruitful, excellent and rewarding.
Mr. Akpan disclosed this during one year anniversary celebration of the group tagged “FROM DREAM TO REALITY” held at the conference room of E-library Uyo last weekend.
According to him, some of these achievements are the “Acquisition of office complex, on Uyo, Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission, Bureau of Political and Social Re-orientation, and obtaining of TIN from FIRS amongst others”.
“One year of remaining strong, indivisible in spite of multiple backgrounds, tribes, tongues and nation’s. One year of redefining leadership to think global, act local and team building, and also one year of learning and growing for improved productivity.” Mr. Akpan intoned.
Known for his consistent advocacy for the adoption of the right democratic imperatives, intentional approach to governance, and value-driven leadership, Akpan use the occasion to call on good spirited individuals to support the organization in their quest to change the narrative in leadership and bring about innovation that will improve healthy lifestyle amongst our people.
He informed that “My Destiny My Future (MDFO), is not a subsidiary of any giant organization or individual sponsor but are being selflessly and sacrificially sponsored by our heart and soul members of the organization through contributions.”
Speaking on the future plans for the organization, the president mentioned that four local Government area which includes Ibiono Ibom, Ikono, Ini and Itu have already received certification to begin their cooperative society in full inorder to help grow members businesses with a view to make it go round the 31 LGAs in no distance time.
In his goodwill messages, Member elect for Itu/Ibiono Ibom federal Constituency, Barr. Ime Okon who was represented by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Nsikak Abasi Okon, lauded the ingenuity of the group for their insight, promised to do all within his power to support them actualizes their dream.
Also speaking, Comm. For Economic development, Hon. Emem Bob who speak through his representative Mrs. Esther Tony adviced the group to look more inward and see how they can develop local content.
On her part, Honorable Commissioner for Rural Development and Co-operative, Mrs. Enobong Mbobo appreciated Amb. Chris Akpan for his four sigh in gathering men of provent integrity to plan for the future. She advised members to buy shares and be committed in building the future together.
While addressing members of the group, Commissioner for Women Affairs. Dr. Ini Adiakpan represented by Mrs Nkechi Udoh urged the group to take advantage of the World Bank assisted program, “Nigeria For Women” to help grow their small businesses for a prosperous society.
High point of the celebration was cutting of anniversary cake, presentation of certificates of Honorary Advisory council to deserving partners.
