INOCS Holds Thanksgiving Service dedicates new year to God … unveils 2021 almanac

In the spirit of gratitude and sincere efforts to rekindle the spiritual wellbeing of students and to seek for divine guidelines, protection and provision for the new year, The International Network of Christian Students INOCS on Sunday 31th January organized a Thanksgiving service with the Theme; The Everlasting Arms, to appreciate God for his faithfulness towards students.

The event which took place at First Love Foundation, Atiku Abubaka way had as part of its agenda choir ministrations/renditions, prayers of intercession for Akwa Ibom State and dedication of INCOs into the able hand of God in the year 2021.

In his address, International President. Amb. Chris Akpan who take his Bible reading from Deuteronomy 33:27 urged students to uphold noble values and good ethics, control their passions and avoid wrong companionship in other to succeed in the year 2021, noting that success and failure this year, lies in their hands and charged them to work towards success.

In his remarks the Chairman on the occasion, Elder Friday Iwok, advised students to start small and be obedient to God in all they do. He used the occasion to sensitized them on the reality of COVID-19 and the safety protocols everyone must do to curb the spread of the virus.

On his part the Guest speaker, His Lordship Hon. Justice Charles Ikpe , said the evaluating arms of God is the love He has for all mankind despite our shortcomings. Justice Ikpe informed that as young people they should learned to sacrificed time and resources for them to be recognized in the future, noted that success needs a rigorous process for it to be fulfilled.

Also speaking Dr. Elijah Mba, charged students to embrace God, and engaged in entrepreneurship to sustain their livelihood instead of depending on government for white cola jobs.

The President of INOCS Ambassador Chris Akpan use the occasion to outline some of the programme build to hold this year to include, International Academic Conference, 20th Anniversary conference/foundation laying of the proposed development and entrepreneur empowerment centre and business development and entrepreneurship summit among others.
