By Emmanuel Sampson
It was praise, worship, joy, blessings, soul lifting, holiness and excitement unlimited at the Church of Christ Odoro Ikpe, Ini local Government Area, Saturday, December 2, as family members, worshippers, friends, colleagues and well wishers thronged the Church auditorium to witness and celebrate with their Ministers on the inaugural induction into Ini Preacher’s Forum (IPF).
In a lecture presentation titled; FOSTERING UNITY AMONG PREACHERS and competently delivered by Evangelist (Dr). Samuel Oworekpe, Registrar College of Arts and Science Nung Ukim. He admonished the inductees to continue to uphold the gospel of Christ which is centred on love for one another, perseverance, commitment, exemplary leadership and togetherness in the body of Christ.
Dr. Oworekpe himself a preacher, said that the topic was very apt because some preacher’s abandoned their main responsibility of winning souls in search for worldly things to the detriment of the church.

In his opening remarks, Chairman of the occasion, Prince Michael Ekanem
identified the issue of accountability and leadership as the twin issues that could bring down a Forum, charged them to be sincere to members and be accountable to themselves in all issues concerning Church leadership and administration.

Sampson of the Church of Christ Usuk Ukwok, said IPF was born with the mission to propagate the gospel, promote and encourage social interaction as well as cross-pollinate ideas among Preachers.
