AKWA IBOM DEPUTY GOVERNOR CALLS ON PEOPLE TO EMBRACE READING CULTURE … As The Superior You unveils to members of the public

The Akwa Ibom State Deputy Governor, Mr. Moses Ekpo has called on people to embraced reading culture in order to raised leaders who will be able to man various leadership positions in the country.

The number two citizen of the state made this known, Tuesday 6th, October 2020 at Governor’s Office Annex, Multipurpose Hall, Wellington Bassey Way, Uyo. when he grace the launching/presentation of a book titled “The Superior You” author by Mr. Gideon Isong to members of the public.

Ekpo who was represented at the event, by Dr/Mrs. Grace Akpan, noted that the intellectual compendium which will chart a way forward for Nigerians and Africa at large towards economic emancipation is a must read for all Akwa Ibomites.

Setting the tone, for the lunching, the Author, Mr. Gideon Isong explained that the book is rich in contents, said it will help Nigerians to competes with other western countries of the world, Isong call on Africans to rise up and take the lead in creativity, technological innovation, entrepreneurship, industrialization and become self-reliance to enhance productivity, harnessing and growing their economies from the third world to front-line economies.

He further explained that the book will guide every entrepreneur who needs to navigate through. Both thought-provoking and compelling with an inspiring profile of remarkable people who have made a difference in the uncertain territory of starting and maintaining a successful business.

Hear him, “The book is easy to read, down to earth, practical, and insightful, also complements the industrialization drive of Governor Udom Emmanuel and his ‘dakkada’ philosophy with a belief that Nigeria in thirty years from now will take up from China in terms of development”

Presenting the book to members of the public, The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Udom Emmanuel on SMEs, Mrs. Janet Amba commanded Mr. Isong for his time, said the publication is apt as it comes the time Nigerian need to embraced entrepreneurship hook, line and sinker.

On his part, Chairman, Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Amos Etuk who performed the book review, equally commanded the author for his time while decrying the fallen standard of reading culture among our youth. He charged the author not to relent his efforts but do research to come up with more publication.

The Chairman who was represented by the CEO of Cradle Newspaper Mr. Emmanuel Ufon maintained that Nigeria needs people like Mr. Isong in key positions in order to brings in their experience to play in economic transformation of the country.

Other dignitaries who grace the occasion, included, President of the Christian Central Chapel International, Bishop Emma Isong, Professor Udosen, Academic Community, youth groups among others.
