The Akwa Ibom state governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel has lauded the vice chairman of Uyo local government Hon. Udeme Emmanuel on his quality, effective and people’s oriented leadership on his people, which have changed the lives of widows and less privileged persons in the state.

Governor Udom made the commendation through the commissioner for works Akwa Ibom state, Akparawa Ephraim Inyang-eyen who represent him during the unveiling of Etoi civic center and handing over of one bedroom bungalow to madam Mary Offiong Etim a widow, courtesy of the capacity vice chairman Hon. Ukai Udeme Emmanuel.
According to Akparawa Inyang-eyen “Any body who gives to the widows is giving to God and when God want to reward you it will be multiple of what you gave, i mean uncountable, i must say that your kind gesture to this widow is uncomparable to what God will do for you in return, i advised you to keep the faith of your good works as the reward will come unexpectedly “

The works boss promised to furnish the apartment for madam Mary Offiong as well as build another one bedroom for another widow, he expressed satisfaction with Ukai Udeme representation, adding that, giving come from a good heart and with Ukai Udeme as the vice chairman, the current administration of governor Udom Emmanuel is sure of more life touching projects and reiterate his commitment in assisting the poor to alleviate the plight of less privileged persons in the society.

Speaking the Uyo born philanthropist, an ardent supporter of governor Udom Emmanuel Hon. Udeme Emmanuel, maintaind that all public office holders must try to give back to the society as it is their constitutional rights, he noted that in no distant time he will hand over more houses to widows to help them leave happily, he also thanked his dear wife for her supports and encouragement in serving his constituents.
Among dignitaries who grace the occasion include Hon. Akan Okon. Commissioner for economic development and Ibom deep seaport, Rt Hon. Monday Eyo, chairman local government service commission, Hon. Mark Esset member Nsit Atai state constituency, traditional fathers, political and social groups in Uyo local government Area and many others.
