In fulfilment of her promised of a scholarship/Sponsorship to Miss Emem Umoh, a medical student studying at the University of Calabar, who was about to be withdrawn due to her inability to pay her fees. The Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Agriculture, Dr. Glory Edet has again demonstrated her avowed determination to education advancement with the presentation of a certificate of a full ride scholarship to the affected student and has subsequently paid her full tuition fee including feeding and upkeep.
Presenting the certificate on behalf of the commissioner, Utomobong Udo, who is the President National Association of Akwa Ibom Medical student, NAAKIMS WORLDWIDE ,implore the recipient to be hardworking and studious,adding that all her needs would be taken care of by the Hon.Commissioner.He also encouraged her to
always be optimistic, not looking at her background
as a stumbling block, but should see possibility in all situation.
On his part, Dean faculty of Medicine and Dentistry Prof. Charles Anyanechi described Dr Glory as God send to humanity, said such milk of human kindness is very rare among political class especially when they have no affiliation with the person.
In his words, “The Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture and Dean of Commissioners in Akwa Ibom State Dr Glory Edet has demonstrated sincere love, I must say this gesture is uncommon, i urge you Miss Emem Umoh to be studious to make The Commissioner proud, let her know that money and other resources that is committed to your academic is not in vain. I pray God to reward her greatly.” Prof. Charles said.
In a telephone interview with
the State Chairman, Nigeria Medical Association NMA, Dr. Ime Udoh, by the worldwide president, Udo described Dr Edet as being so passionate about humanity, said such love is born out of trust and honesty to promote good governance and a sense of belonging to the less privilege people.

joy, broke into tears of happiness
with songs, prayer for God sustainability and Peace for the commissioner for restoring hope and given her life, when all hope was gone. She appreciated the
association led by Comr. Utomobong for speaking on her behalf, wish him and his Excos a successful tenure in office.
It could be recall that Dr. Edet made the promised last two weeks when Akwa Ibom medical students led by the worldwide president Utomobong Udo paid her a courtesy call in her office, Idongesit Nkanga Secretariat to confere on her an award as the female patron of the student Doctors,discussed sundry issue concerning the association, intimate her of their propose medical students conference as well as seek for advised and assistance, which the commissioner gladly approved some of their request.
Present to also witness the Presention were NAAKIMS UNICAL President James Saviour ,UNICAL SUG Vp Abasiofiok Akpabio, Chairman Accedemic Committee Daniel Akpan ,WW Secretary Kufre Akpan ,WW Treasurer Victoria Akpan and The faculty president Maxwell among others .
