The Ethical and Attitudinal Reorientation Commission, EARCOM is poised to partner critical stakeholders to sustain the ARISE Agenda campaign across the state and beyond.
A Commissioner on the Board of EARCOM, Hon. Goodnews Ediene dropped the hint in a chat with newsmen on the outcome of the Akwa Ibom Dialogue and launch of the ARISE Agenda convened by Governor Umo Eno at the Ibom Icon Hotel in Uyo the State Capital.
Hon. Ediene disclosed the EARCOM has totally committed to the cardinal objectives of the ARISE Agenda and have perfected modalities to mount statewide mass sensitisation campaign to further disseminate the outcomes of the dialogue to the rural areas and grassroots.
Describing the dialogue initiated by Governor Umo Eno as a welcome development, Hon. Ediene a former Vice Chairman of Oruk Anam Local Government Area said the idea will help build consensus, ensure people’s ownership and participation in the ARISE Agenda and harness informed opinion and perspectives on achieving the vision by experts in different fields of endeavour.
Also speaking Hon. Sir Ubong Ekefre who also serves as a Commissioner on the EARCOM Board explained that
the greatest vehicle for achieving sustainable development is to have the right mindset and attitude. Accordingly, he said EARCOM will not relent in public advocacy and mass orientation with a view to mobilising citizens to embrace the ARISE Agenda.
He said EARCOM felicitates with Governor Umo Eno on the successful launch of the ARISE Agenda and the constellation of experts put together to brainstorm on the way forward for actualisation of the vision, stressing that EARCOM will remain a committed partner throughout the implementation of the Agenda.
