It was celebration galore filled with ecstasy and praised as friends, well wishers, family members and relatives Saturday, November 14, 2020 gathered at the expansive St. Anne Cathedral of the Catholic Church, Ifuho, Diocese of Ikot Ekpene to witness the holy matrimony of former Miss Emem Sunday Amos who hails from Ikot Ekperikpe in Ukanafun Local Government Area and Mr. Dominic Nduese Akpan, both of Akwa Ibom State.

In his exhortation, the presiding cleric, Rev. Fr. Ekemini Williams Etim who stressed that marriage was a command from God, advised the newly wedded couple to serve each other with all humility and love even as they focused more on God, whom he described as the “cornerstone” of every marital union.
The Catholic priest said wedding ceremony was not marriage but an initiation into marriage, revealing that the real marriage begins only when the couple are living together in love,peace, obedience to and care for each other.
He enjoined the couple to strive at all times to live as a pair devoid of external influences even in troubled times, if they must optimize and enjoy their union till death do them part.

Speaking to newsmen just after the exchange of vows to live as husband and wife, the groom, Mr. Dominic Nduese Akpan, thanked God Almighty fundamentally for His enablement to make good his dream of taking home as a wife, his heartthrob of many years. Mr. Akpan informed, that but for God, his desire for a successful marriage would have been a nullity, attributing the reality the endeavor has become to God alone. thanked friends, family members, relatives, the Church and all others who in one way or the other contributed to the success of the wedding and the traditional marriage, whose memories he maintain will linger as long as life endures while urging others who wish to settle down to call on God for His divine provision.
