It was a great gathering of the major PDP party structure in Ibesikpo Asutan as the Executive Chairman of the Local Government Area , Hon. (Mrs.) Akon Michael Asuquo played host to the party bigwigs of her domain in her country home where she assured them of her unrelenting resolve to keep the party intact through a support base system.
Setting the tone, the Chapter Chairman of the party (PDP) in Ibesikpo Asutan, Pastor Uwem Etim welcome the party to the domain of the Council boss and assured her of the party’s support in her administration.
The seasoned school administrator,used the opportunity to beckon on the chairman to always include the party in her scheme of democratic dividends to avoid any bitterness and rancour.
“Without peace none of us can have our expectation. I want to thank God for making today possible for the party structure to convene here.
Today by her arrangement and that of God we are here and it will be a fruitful convoke”he assured.
In her remarks, the Local Government boss, Akon Michael Asuquo thanked the party men for honoring her invite maintaining that she had long devoid of compelling decided to host the party for standing by PDP in the last election which culminated in victory.
Mrs. Akon Michael used the opportunity to admonish the party not to be dragged into believing that she has abandoned the party, blaming the delay on the economic realities of the moment, but charged all the party men to remain calm that she will do the needful yo the party.
“My aim is to protect the name of this local government devoid of any sentiment. Please always correct me when I err constructively and not blowing it out of proportion.
I called you here today to thank you all for supporting me and for Supporting PDP in the last polls”she maintained.
The Council Chairman used the convoke to express displeasure over the sad event that ocvured in the last ground breaking of the Arise Estate at Mbierebe Akapwat and warned that a repeat should not occur, explaining that the act painted the local government in the bad light.
Speaking, the State Women Leader II representating the area, Lady Emem Ottohnsek thanked the Chairman for hosting the party and pleaded with the party bigwigs to always embrace dialogue during bottlenecks while charging the Council boss to always include the party in her largasee to the people.
For the Deputy Chapter Chairman, Daniel Usoro , he thanked the Council boss for the host and pleaded that the party should be always taken care of.
Obong Usoro used the opportunity to thank the Chairman for her peaceful reign in Ibesikpo Asutan, describing here as a good example.
Nyakno Ekong , the Chairman of all Ward Chairmen in the State thanked the chairman for the hosting and pleaded with her to douse all tension that must have existed hitherto.
In her vote of thanks, the Chapter Women Leader, Mrs. Idongesit Idongesit Amamkpa in her remarks while thanking her charged the Council boss to always consider the party and shun those who run to her to blackmail others to be good but do the needful for peaceful co- existence
