… promise more dividends of democracy

The Member Representing the good people of Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika Federal constituency in the House of Representative, Hon. Clement Jimbo has expressed his gratitude to the party and the people of the constituency for their unalloyed support from the beginning of the campaign process to the end of the election which gave him the mandate to fly the party’s flag at the National level.
Speaking at the party’s secretariat in Ekpo Obot street on Sunday, December 10th, during a thank you visit to members and leadership of the party, Hon. Jimbo said he came to appreciate them for allowing him leverage on their structure.
“I came here basically today to appreciate my party, the All Progressive Congress APC, for allowing me to use the party to stand and win election, I know people sacrifices to make the party stand till today, I cannot be counted as those that brought the party but for them to have found me and allowed me to use the party and stand election, is something I needed to come and tell them Thank you.” Hon. Jimbo said.
Responding to the rumour that the party is dividend at the state level, Hon. Jimbo, explained that it only a social media news which holds no water, maintained that APC is at all level is intact with formidable structure.
“APC is United, all the party structure were there so they all spoke in one voice, one or two person’s disagreement is not enough to say the party is dividend.”
The lawmakers expressed happiness that the issues that had been of concern to them were treated amicably.
While listing some of the projects embark upon within six months in office, Jimbo informed that no fewer than 80 tertiary institution students from Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika Federal Constituency have been paid a sum of N50,000 each, organised a medical outreach, with no fewer than 2,000 constituents benefitting from free dental surgeries, tooth extraction, medical diagnosis and free medications, adding that over 100 young women in different skills, empowering them with different starter packs, while giving new laptops to 70 students trained in information communication technology, with a promised to do more.
The State Chairman of APC, Hon. Stephen Ntukekpo, while thanking Hon. Jimbo for his sense of ingenuity expressed confidence that the party had become stronger and still a big family to accommodate all and sundry.
