Wife of Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Patience Umo Eno has advised Christians in the state to put their total trust in God as He is able to provide solutions to all their problems.

The Governor’s wife stated this on Sunday, October 22, 2023, during the 9th Area Convention of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Ikot Okudom Area, Eket Field, tagged “God is Able,” drawn from Ephesians 3:20.

“Ephesians 3:20 is not a scripture to joke with. It says that God can do all things and there is nothing he cannot do. Are you weak? God can strengthen you. God can grant you your heart’s desire. Is there a mountain standing before you? God can make it crumble for you. God is able.’

“Trust in Him because He is able. Put all of your cares on him; I can guarantee you that he will sort them out one after the other and will give you that much-desired testimony. That is the God I serve and that is the God I leave with you today,” she said.

She maintained that God is capable of exceeding the expectations of those who trust in him, adding that “there is nothing too difficult for God to do. God can do beyond your expectations so that you can glorify His name.”

While stating that it was the first church she had visited in the area since the inauguration of the present administration, the First Lady thanked the church for their prayers which she said played a vital role in her husband’s success at the last gubernatorial election in the state.

Earlier, in his welcome address, the Area Superintendent of the church, Apostle A. S. Akpekong, said the Ikot Okudom Area convention was organised to reveal and demonstrate the power of God through messages, prayer ministrations, praise, and worship.

He noted that when believers know who they are in Christ Jesus, negative emotions like fear, self-pity, worry, anxiety about the harsh economy, and feelings of uncertainty will be far from them as their hope will constantly be in God.

The clergyman said God has presented the Golden Era to Akwa lbom state for an achievable Arise Agenda adding that the church is ready to partner with the government in entrepreneurship and food sufficiency.

The Apostolic Church Ikot Okudom Area Superintendency honoured the First Lady with an award in recognition of her outstanding, exemplary leadership roles and inspirational contributions to Christianity and humanity.

The Governor’s wife who also received a symbolic gift on behalf of the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, as well as gifts from the women of the church, in turn presented gifts to some indigent members of the church.

The Eket Field Superintendent of the Apostolic Church, Apostle Ukpong S. Ukpong, prayed for the First Lady, the Umo Eno administration, and leaders at all levels during the Convention which featured renditions by different choirs, hymns, as well as a session of praise and worship.

The First Lady later joined the Governor, Pastor Umo Eno to attend the 75th birthday celebration of the Senior Pastor of the Solid Rock Kingdom Church, Apostle John Okoriko during a special service held at the National Capital Temple of the Church, Ibekwe Akpanyah in Mkpat Enin Local Government Area.
